I used to do this. I have ultimately decided it's better to toss the stuff and deal with packing it if and when that comes. Believe me I know it's nicer to have the correct Styrofoam and box, but it's too much clutter to deal with. And you're talking to a guy who's hobby used to be moving! LOL!However, I do keep longer term the packaging for medium size appliances like for TVs or computers. I believe it will ultimately make moving to a new home easier and less expensive.
If you have pets - cats or dogs - you can never have enough plastic bags! I should never have to buy poop bags again in my lifetime!LOL The plastic bags I have are the grocery bags. I tend to stuff them all together, and by the time I notice how many there are, they have taken over half of my kitchen. Like rabbits, they multiply. Now, why I keep them I don't know. I rarely use them, but I'm always afraid to not have a "few".
And I have a kitchen "junk drawer". You know the one....when a mystery object shows up and you're not sure if you should keep it or wait to see what it is you throw it in there? It's like a time capsule of mystery objects from the past.
I do have them for that, BUT, we are talking about hundreds of them. I'm telling you, they BREED!If you have pets - cats or dogs - you can never have enough plastic bags! I should never have to buy poop bags again in my lifetime!
Collect is a hobby. Save isn't.Is save the same as collect? Because like Lynne with her stamps, I collect coins... and a few other things! Other than that, I can't think of things I "save"??
LOL - they do. When I used to get too many, I'd take them to the dog park and put them at the kiosk for in case people forgot theirs. I need to start taking 80 to the park... I've lost that habit after losing Sophie and Carmen.I do have them for that, BUT, we are talking about hundreds of them. I'm telling you, they BREED!
Oh, yeah, okay. I guess like every guy, I save cartons and containers. You never know when a good little box or jar is going to come in handy for some parts or something. Too many become clutter though.Collect is a hobby. Save isn't.
He got me at an "organized" junk drawer.....WandS makes my head hurt.
