HOW DEPENDENT ARE YOU ON YOUR PHONE? IS IT A LIFELINE FOR YOU? IF I TOOK IT AWAY FOR 48 HOURS, WOULD YOU HAVE WITHDRAWAL?

I only use my smart phone as a phone for the most part. And my hubs still has a flip phone...honest. I'm curious as to how much you all depend on yours as a daily survival device. And how many of you use it as your main device to access the forum?

Oh trust me, you couldn’t take my phone away :p

In all seriousness I have too many ppl to keep up with so even if I wasn’t addicted I’d need it :/

I keep a prepaid cell phone for emergencies only. Just to keep it active, I have to put $5.00 on it once a year. So, the accumulated minutes just keep growing and don't expire. I've had it at least 10 years, so for $50.00 I have had cell service for 10 years, for less than most people pay for ONE month of service! I've never been a social butterfly, and I really don't mind being alone with my thoughts in the car so I don't need to constantly be on the phone.

I want your phone bill, Sea. I could go 48 hours without a cell phone, but it would be hard. I don't make or receive many calls, but I text my family every day. We communicate and exchange Grandkid photos and plan events and gatherings.

Very dependent. I have separate personal and business phones. Got tired of feeling like a freakizoid in public when wearing two phone holsters. I’m sure I looked like Data from Star Trek geared up to do recon on an alien planet. So I forwarded one phone to the other and the less active one is on eternal charge mode.

I use my larger iPhone for email, calls, and texts all day long. I only use it for surfing PNF.net probably once a week.

pretty much just use my phone as a phone, though I do use the G.P.S. quite often, and occasionally use it to download coupons to scan in stores such as Michaels and such. normally I just have it with me while at work, rarely carry it with me when im out and about for normal running around, so being without it for a while wouldn't bother me in the least.

I spend about as much as Seahunter on my phone! My desktop PC on the other hand... It's recent demise killed my communication, TV, books, internet, music.... I'm still poor from replacing it. Why have loads of baskets when I can keep piling those eggs higher in this one?
