Hey everyone. I just want to start off by saying I am in no way a UFO-chaser/fanatic, I don't wear a tinfoil hat and watch the skies for UFOs. The only one I have ever seen was by accident, and during the day.

Ok, so I was just sitting in the truck outside of Family Dollar, waiting for my mum to come out, when I happened to glacé up and noticed a pill-shaped object, high up in the clouds. At first I thought it was a passenger airliner, which I found odd because aside from some small recreational planes, air traffic around here is minimal.

That's when I noticed that this "pill" had no visible windows or fins, and left no trail as it moved (silently) across the sky before vanishing behind some clouds. The "pill" was solid white, and didn't seem to gleam in the sun.

I'm not saying this is a UFO, it could easily have just been a passenger airliner seen from an odd angle, but I thought I would share this experience with you all and see what you think.

Austin, it's very possible you have seen a UFO...as it IS unidentified and flying! All forms and shapes have been reported, so it qualifies as one for sure.

I've had my own sighting of one back in 1999. It was a black triangle over my house, and clear as a bell, low flying and sloooow with no sound. I have always said I have no idea what it truly was, but I saw it. IMO, mine shouldn't have been able to be airborne at the speed it was going and it was the size of a football field.

In this day and age of drones, it's getting harder to tell what is what up there in the sky, but we have to allow for the fact many of these things flying around up there are true unknowns and may be from off planet or interdimensional.

Exactly! Interesting sighting, BTW. :)

Sorry but tinfoil is a given here. You should score a sale at the Family Dollar :)

But all jokes aside, it doesn't matter what angle you see a plane. You will see wings 99.9% of the time, and you will always see a trail. You can definitely rule out odd angles, unless we're talking photography of moving objects.

I think what you saw is a legit UFO.

Hi Austin,

I’ve read about UFOs in the form of a rectangle that are thought to carry a single passenger. They may serve for the same purpose as the pill-shaped one you saw, if it was an UFO. I’ve only seen the oval-shaped ones with a spinning ring at the middle which is noticeable when they camouflage during daytime.

Hi Lynne, I used to live near a mountain and UFO sightings were very common. I remember having walked to the top of another mountain and taken pictures there. Later that I checked them Ufos could be seen at a near distance. These couldn't be seen when I was at the mountain probably because they were camouflaged.

Gee, you think so? :)
