How the mighty have fallen. Didn't he used to do everything on his own at one time?

 I'm glad this doesn't have sound!

Art Bell, respect the man as I do, is out of touch.
The reason Art and Stern were able to make it back in the day was because they had a captive audience. Think about it, back in the 80's and 90's, it was radio or nothing. It's not like you could take your television with you in the car or to the office. Radio was the ONLY form of entertainment. It was the only thing to listen to when you drove or were in a train, or in the office. These days with smart phones, you can be anywhere and watch TV shows on Hulu, Netflix and other providers of content. You can watch movies, watch youtube, listen to a multitude of podcasts, etc. The options are endless.

Neither Bell or Stern would probably be able to make it today. Not with all the competition.

Which bring us to another point- while Bell and Stern were good at what they did, it was because everyone else was a George Noory, not because the world of radio was filled with bright luminaries. By comparison, Bell and Stern shone. So now they need to STFU and bring it. Talk is cheap.

If I had a producer, I too would air 4-5 shows a week.

What does a producer do?

A real producer is someone who handles the majority of the work so that the host can do what he does, talk and interview. They schedule guests that the host indicates they are interested in, or schedule guests that may be of an interest to the host.

Plus they also spend their work hours researching each guest, creating a series of potential questions and gives the host a summary of what the guest is coming on to talk about. This is the real time consumer for anyone who is producing these types of shows by themselves.

That actually sounds like a cool job.

And Bob does all three jobs!

So, basically, the producer actually is the one who is "leading" where the host is to go with the interview. So, Nekki, you have to always include Tommy when you jump all over Snoory. Actually, I was ready to yell at Snoory on Thursday night's show. He was just downright rude to another female guest that night. Totally confrontational with her. Now, I can see where you would want to challenge theories or something, but this was him pushing his own take on things. She had written a book about 9/11 and told how a plane could be hijacked by remote control. She had 30 years in the airline business, and her theory didn't match his in his new book. And it was ON!

Snoory is a pig and a misogynist.
